Hi all. Here are our answers to the questions we asked you.

Dear Ransford and Harriet,

Thank you for answering all of our questions.

1.We also wear a school uniform, however the colours are different to yours. Boys wear trousers to our school because we need them to keep warm. The colours of our uniform are maroon, white and grey/black. We wear maroon coloured jumpers or cardigans, white t-shirts and grey/black skirts or trousers.
2. We do lots of different sports at school. These include football, basketball, netball, tennis, hockey, swimming, cricket as well as dance and gymnastics. In the summer we also do athletics.
3. School dinners in our school are very popular and we eat lots of tasty food. Some of these include pizza, chips, burgers, sandwiches, fish, meat. We also eat lots of fruit salad and have chocolate hedgehogs and apple crumble.
4. We have a special room, called the ICT room where we have lots of computers that we can use and we also have a computer in each room that the teachers use to help with our lessons.
5. The lessons that we have are Numeracy (which is the same as maths), Literacy (which is the same as English), PE, ICT, art, Science, Topic (which include geography, history, Design Technology) and PSHE.

What do you do for lunch at school? Do you have a packed lunch or have school dinners?
How many lessons do you have a day?
What time do you start and what time do you finish?
What is your playground like?

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely

New Project!

THE VIEWS THROUGH OUR WINDOWS

We have completed a project based on the work of ‘Jeannie Baker’, in particular based on her book ‘Window’ (see photo). Children looked at the photos we had taken of the changing views through the kitchen window of our old school, as our new school was being built. We then created collages in response to this (see photos).

We would now like to work on a project called: ‘The Views through our windows’. This would involve both schools taking photos of current views through our classroom windows, windows around the school and windows in our homes/local buildings.

These pictures would then be posted on this blog so the children can compare the views and describe what they can see.

In response to them children could then create collages in the style of Jeannie Baker or an artist/style from their own or partner country, posting them on this blog.

Welcome!

Welcome to your new ChilcoteRC Primary School Blog!

We hope you all enjoy using it; sharing your photos, comments and work on it.
